I've threatened to write since I was eighteen. There was always something to stop me: the University of Georgia and recreational drugs, then a job, next a wife and a son, and the job turned into a career. Thirty-five years later I'm about to retire, and I decided to create this blog just for kicks - since I gave up the drugs about the time I got my first real job.
Come April 1st I'll be retired, and who knows where my life will lead, but I'll periodically post here. I expect some writing will be recollections of growing up in and around Savannah. I expect to include stories about, or passed down through, my family. Maybe an essay or a rant on rare occasions. (offstage whisper: please, no poetry!)
I hope to share a few of the laughs I've had through the years. Like Buffet wrote, "some of it's magic, some of it's tragic, but I had a good life all the way"
